The poker player makes a “draw” when the player has an incomplete hand and if he or she wants to make the further cards valuable. In such case the hand itself is referred as a drawing hand or a draw. Some draw types in poker game The following are some of the dissimilar draw types in the poker game.

1. A Flush draw The flush draw can also be referred as“flour flush”. This is a hand which contains four cards from the same suite which can also be improved as a flush. This draw has 9 outs.

2. Inside straight draw The inside straight draw or belly buster draw or the gutshot draw, is a hand having 4 from the 5 cards required for the straight, also missing one card in the middle. An inside straight draw has 4 outs.

3. Outside straight draw This draw is also called as open-end(ed) straight draw, or up and down or double ended straight draw. It is a hand with 4 of the 5 cards needed in sequence which could me improved to a straight. This type of draw has 8 outs.

4. Double inside straight draw A double inside straight draw, or a double gut buster draw, or a double gutshot draw occurs when either ranks among the two makes a straight (but, both the draws are “inside”). The catching of an out for the double inside straight draw is the same as the Outside straight draw.

5. Backdoor draw A backdoor draw which is referred as “runner-runner draw” is a hand which needs to catch two outs in order to win.
